Get ready for a weekend full of mouthwatering barbecue, soulful blues, and family-friendly fun! The 17th Annual Foley BBQ & Blues Cook Off, presented by RiverView Turf, returns to Heritage Park in downtown Foley on March 7-8, 2025. This highly anticipated event not only brings the best BBQ and live music to the Gulf Coast but also supports a great cause—proceeds benefit the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation (SBCF), which serves 14 local schools in south Baldwin County.
Kick Off the Fun with a Friday Night Concert
The festival starts on Friday, March 7, with a concert featuring Alabama native and 2006 American Idol winner Taylor Hicks! Gates open at 5 PM, and the music starts at 6 PM. Grab a $20 advance ticket (or $25 at the gate) and enjoy a night of incredible music. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, but BBQ samples and kids' activities will be reserved for Saturday.
The Main Event: Saturday’s BBQ Cook-Off
On Saturday, March 8, the real competition heats up! Starting at 10 AM, over 30 backyard division cook teams from across the Gulf Coast—sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society—will go head-to-head for the coveted Grand Championship title. Festival goers can taste delicious BBQ samples starting at 11 AM for a $10 entry fee (purchase onsite only).
But the fun doesn’t stop there! Live music will fill the air throughout the day, with performances by Foley High School bands, The Three57s, The Defrosters & Friends. Families can explore a kids' zone, craft vendors, retail booths, and food trucks all day long. The awards ceremony kicks off at 4 PM, where the top cook teams will be crowned, including the winner of the People’s Choice award—determined by festival goers’ donations. The team earning the highest in donations will also take home a traveling trophy to showcase at their business!
Supporting Education in South Baldwin County
More than just a celebration of BBQ and blues, the Foley BBQ & Blues Cook Off directly benefits the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation. For over 20 years, SBCF has been dedicated to enhancing education, developing leadership, and enriching the lives of students in 14 local schools. Every ticket purchased, every bite of BBQ enjoyed, and every dollar donated helps create a brighter future for Baldwin County students.
A Special Thanks to Our Sponsors
This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of our amazing sponsors! Cumulus Media and The Factory are helping make this event a musical success as our Entertainment Sponsors.
